pluralism schmuralism

So, to add on to everyone's first days, weeks, hours, whatever, I too have started my cels internship. woooohoooo. It's alright so far i guess, not really what i was expecting at all. It's in this house they converted into offices, and there are 7 other interns, all grad students or older (ah! I'm so young! ah! I don't know anything! ah!). We've just been having slow days, on the computers, becoming oriented and all that nonsense. People are nice, but very academic/intellectual/snooty at times. The director of the Pluralism Project at Harvard is one of the most renowed/famous/unbelievable professors of religion ever and she came to our staff meeting on Monday and I stuttered when I introduced myself to her. how embarrassing!!!

But I'm pretty excited with the research I'll be doing this summer. I'm looking at women's interfaith networks and councils in America, especially those that have been formed post- 9/11. So it's something that is new and fresh and not too many people have researched before. Hopefully, i can make an actual contribution to this project, and to the interfaith communities in the States. Oh, and if you are really bored, I have a little bio on their website, www.pluralism.org, go to the people section. that's it for now. Nick is playing a video game and i'm diggin' the music. wooot.

you stuttered, haha, oh rosie!
you WILL make a contribution to the field and you may be the youngest, but you are probably the smartest and NOT snootiest one there (if that makes any sense, ha).
