Life in Florida

I'm sorry to tell you all this but a week ago today our baby passed away. He was only 13 days old but there are no reasons known yet and the fact is, we may never know what went wrong. This is something I will work with as long as I am a trainer and it sucks. He is one that wont ever leave my heart. He started his life at Marineland at about the same time as me. Mother nature can be a real bitch sometimes...

On a different note, i survived "Alberto." He wasnt much of anything really. We had a couple points where it poured yesterday but I did not fly away so thats good. It appears that every tuesday night the countryclub I'm living in has a poker night. I went over and played against a couple guys, left about even (yes, they appear old enough to be grandparents by now). It was fun though and nice to see some people of the same sex after spending day after day living with girls.

Hopefully I will be able to take the level 1 quiz and move up to level 2 next week. That means I'll have the opportunity to do a little more hands on work with the dolphins which I am really excited about. Also means I dont have to scrub buckets all day long. instead, it will be like three quarters of a day. I will let you guys know the results. Hope all is well up north!!!
