Things have certainly gotten better since my last entry. I’m starting to enjoy work a lot, mostly because my boss and I have started to get along really well. I’ve found that as long as people are open to my silly side, I can get along with almost anyone – so I’m happy that my boss has started to allow that side of me to come out.
I’ve gotten to do a lot of cool things – helping out at VJ auditions has been my favorite, so far. We’ve chosen a new VJ, and I really like her. It was so cool being a part of the process, seeing how it all pieces together. She’ll be a celebrity within a year, and it feels pretty good to know that I’m one of the people that helped get her there – and seriously. I gave her advice when I was helping her get ready, and I spent hours making sure her tape showcased the best of her audition. I really had a lot of fun with that.
There’s still the endless tape-making and stupid errands (I had to go to Food Emporium twice the other day – once to make sure the ice cream I had already called about was actually there, and once to actually buy it. Yea.), but it’s all part of being an intern, and I don’t mind it.
Anyway, I’ve also been in the city for the past week, cat and apartment sitting. The cat hisses at me a lot, so I walk pretty far away from it, but it’s otherwise been a pretty pleasant experience. I’ve also been hanging out a lot with Jenny Madden, which has been really fun! I’ve had lots of Conn in my life lately – Amanda and I have started a weekly lunch date tradition, which actually makes me look forward to Mondays, and two weekends ago was spent at the lovely Elizabeth Charpie’s house.
And I have a new crush, which always makes life exciting. I don’t know what will happen when I finally grow up enough that I won’t be like a 6th grader when it comes to crushes, but I hope that doesn’t happen too soon.
